DRAINAGE SOLUTION FOR DEPLOYABLE SHELTERS

OBJECTIVE: Facilitate plumbing amenities for emergency shelters.
CHALLENGE: The Humanihut systems are used in remote locations with no access to traditional drainage.
SOLUTION: Sanicubic 2 Pro
Humanihut are creators and providers of foldable and rapidly deployable temporary accommodation for use in emergencies, mining and numerous other use cases. The structures are designed to provide all amenities for inhabitants, including bathroom and kitchen facilities.
Humanihut supplies their pop-up accommodation to the NEMA project (National Emergency Management Agency). Each emergency response site is unique, requiring varying numbers of the Humanihut systems, but there is one thing that remains the same at all sites – the lack of existing drainage for plumbing amenities.
It is not feasible to create permanent drainage for these temporary sites due to the nature of emergencies. The Sanicubic 2 Pro offered a complete solution for the Humanihut project.

WHY USE LIFTING STATIONS?
By using the Sanicubic 2 Pro, Humanihut were able to set up above ground drainage on the emergency sites. Using above ground drainage has multiple added benefits. One benefit is keeping the site damage free from groundwork resulting from in-ground drainage. Another benefit is the reuse of the drainage hardware at multiple emergency sites.
The Sanicubic 2 Pro evacuates the waste from multiple kitchen sinks, hand basins, showers and toilets throughout the temporary site. The lifting stations pump the waste to holding tanks located further away from site, where the waste is then collected.
SANICUBIC 2 PRO
The Sanicubic 2 Pro is a high performing macerator pump that enables the removal of grey and black water from commercial and domestic settings. It contains two separate, load balanced pumps with high performance macerating systems and will operate alternatively.
